    magnetic actuation and sensing

  • Developed instrumentation for applying alternating magnetic fields for materials characterization, in vitro and in vivo experiments

  • Identified improved methods to model heat dissipation by magnetic nanoparticles, predicted magnetothermal multiplexing, and corroborated predictions experimentally

  • Prepared primary hippocampal cultures from neonatal rats for in vitro work and closely collaborated with biological and chemical engineers on a variety of projects focused on biomedical applications
